A fatal shooting inside a Kansas City restaurant late Saturday night has left one man dead and another hospitalized, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to a business near 31st Street and Prospect Avenue at approximately 8 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. When police arrived, they discovered two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds inside the restaurant.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Decorrian Partee, 28. The second victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where authorities say he is in stable condition and expected to survive.

Preliminary information from investigators indicates that the shooting followed an interaction involving multiple individuals inside the restaurant. Police have not released details about what led up to the gunfire, nor have they identified any suspects. No arrests have been announced.
